In The Holidays

In the holidays I went over to Mangere for the first time. When I got there I was so excited I ran inside and gave my cousin a really big hug. After that we went outside and painted with my cousin’s Nana. Painting with my cousin's was so hard and then I found out that I made a big mistake. I had accidentally knocked over the paint all over the material! Opps!

When the painting was finished we went to the park. At the park we went on the see-saw first. Going up and down, I was nearly going to spew up, so I told my cousin and we changed to the monkey bars. Swinging on the bars I felt like a monkey trying to get bananas. After a little while my cousin and I went back home.

Going to Eastern

In the holidays On Saturday our whole church went to the beach called Eastern. When we got there I was so excited because I really wanted to swim. After that I asked my mum if I can go and have a swim.

My mum said yes so I got into my togs and went in the water. When I got into the water I was freezing cold, So I got back out and waited until my cousins came.

Looking around I saw my cousins and then I stood up and started running to them. When we were walking on the sand we saw a dead penguin. After that we buried it and decorated it with shells.

After we decorated the graveyard we went to a volley net and played volley ball. We looked around and then we saw more people so we went to see them. Suddenly we noticed the tie was coming in so we went for a swim. I hope I get to go to Eastern again.

All About Me 2012

Malo e lelei my name is Asena valoa. I am ten years old and my birthday is on November the 9th. My nationality is Tongan. My hair color is black and my eye color is brown.

My family members are Fatai (my mum), John (my dad), Rose (step sister), Tevita (step brother), and Sam (other step brother). My best friends are Quziyah, Grace, Hope, Anamei, Giselle, Mya and Jouan. I have no pets.

The sports I like is Touch and Netball because it has alot of running and I can achieve my goals. My favourite animal is dogs. Charlotte’s Web is my favourite book. The T.V programme I love is H20 just add water.

At school my favourite subject is Maths. The worst subject is reading. In the future I would like to be teacher because it is so much fun teaching kids and make them have a better future. The hobbies I like is playing with my cousins dog and I like to go shopping.

Ice cream comets

Have you ever made ice cream comets before? Well we have and I am going to tell you all about it.

On Tuesday the first of November our class, room fifteen, made ice cream comets. Mr Marks got a medium sized bag and put heaps of biscuits in it and smashed it, crushed it and bashed it. When he was done smashing, it really started to look like dust. The smashed biscuit ended up looking like a crumbling mess.

After that Mr Marks gave all of us a cone. He got his ice cream scoop and started scooping. When he scooped some on to mine I excitedly ran to the smashed biscuits and dunked my ice cream in. I was going to eat it but then I looked at it and it really looked gross.


It really looked like dust of the ground. The good thing is I started to eat with out thinking its gross. When my ice cream was finished I really was scavenging for more.


I really enjoyed making ice cream comets it was so much fun. It was really tasty. Next time if we make ice cream comets I really hope that Mr Marks can scoop a big one for me.

Term 4 Immersion Assembly!

I am going to tell you all about our term four immersion assembly. Our topic is Outta this World. Guess what we are learning about this term? We are learning about space.

The first performance was team one. There one was all about the sun. What I liked about it was the song in the background and how they twirled with the yellow sheet.

After that it was team two. Miss Glaze, Miss She, Mrs Tuala and this other teacher were space robots. The funny thing was Miss She had her robot head facing to the other side and her head facing straight.

Team four sang twinkle twinkle little star, and some ballerinas were dancing to the song. Mr Marks was one of them and he was pretty good. Ms Squires was very good.


Mr Burt told us a story about Maui. The story was that Maui went to his great great great great grandmother and she gave him a very special necklace. With that necklace he put blood on it and went fishing with it and hooked up a big fish. I am really wanting to know how hot is Mercury.

Best thing I've done this term!

The best I’ve done this term is art with Miss Muliaumaseali’i. Miss Muliaumaseali’i is a very lovely and kind teacher. Art really means alot to me.

Yesterday we done art and we had to draw John key, a rugby player, and famous people. I drawed John key, Piri weepu, Keri hilson, Beyonce and Taniela moa. I drawed Taniela moa because he plays for Tonga and he is a really good player esspecially Piri weepu.

I really enjoyed art this term. Next term if we do art I hope we will draw something that we like the most. I would love to be an artist.
