My Favourite Event!!

Tennis is an olympic event played with a racket and a small ball. Competitors always play on a court with a net in the middle. Tennis was invented in Europe and in the year 1873.

If you want to have a go at tennis then you will need shorts, t-shirt, and if you want to you can also wear a swet band or a hat. When the ball goes in to the net and out of the line then the person who hit the ball loses some points. Before serving, the reciever has to be ready.

Winning a gold medal in tennis looks easy but when it gets to the real game its hard. You will need to hit the ball to each other and try not to get it out. Who ever gets the highest score wins a gold medal.

Next time if you go to a tennis court then grab a racket and a ball and start practicing with another person.

My Favourite Athlete!!>

Valerie Adams is New Zealand’s greatest shot put athlete! She won a gold medal in 2008. She is very special to New Zealand. She represented New Zealand.

Valerie Adams may be Tongan or Samoan heritage. She looks like a Tongan to me but heaps of people say she is Samoan. She is a wonderful shot put athlete. She was born in October the 6th and in 1984 in Rotorua!

She competes in the event called Shot Put. She can throw far as! She won heaps of gold medals! This year she won silver but then after wards she found out she won gold medal. She is 1.93 m tall.

She is famous because she is one of the best shot put athletes. She is also famous because she represents New Zealand in the olympics. She is like New Zealands hero!! She weighs 120 kg’s.

My Friends!!

I love my friends because they are cool and are fun to play with. My friends are Giselle, Quziyah, Porscha, Chloe, Katrina, Jouan and Mya!! I always play with them when I have no one to play with. We sometimes play handball.

I always like to come early to school so I can play with them. They are like my heroes. Giselle and I call each other sis. Quziyah and I have been friends for 5 years now. If I want to go library they come with me.

Life Education Van!

Have you ever been to a life education van before? Well if you haven’t then this story is going to tell you all about it! A life education van is a van that we go to and learn about our body and what it needs. The lady that teaches us is Lynn and she also comes along with a giraffe called Harold.

Last week on Thursday and Friday we went and learned about our tinana (body). We learnt heaps of stuff about our body. We talked about our stomach and what I learnt from the stomach was that it breaks down food. Lynn told us about the liver and she said, “If you ever eat any metal stuff then it wouldn’t break it down but if you go to the toilet then it would come out!” We all said “EEWW”!!

My favourite part was when we had to do the banana salute. When we stood up to do the dance I was laughing my face off. Finishing off our banana salute I stopped laughing! Although I was tired I still wanted to do it. Lynn told us that bananas was Harold's favourite food.

If you ever see a van with a giraffe pattern on it then that is the van where you can go and learn about your body and what it needs!!!

Early In The Morning!!

Waking up early as in the morning is not my kind of thing to do. Every morning my mum and dad and I always wake up at 3 o clock in the morning for morning church. I always wake up but I just sleep in the van. As soon as they come back thats when we leave.

Walking back inside our house makes me so so lazy. Chucking my pillow and blanket on the bed I always go to the bathroom and brush my teeth and get ready for school. I always hate it when I have to walk to school because I always get a stitch fast (even though I walk slow)!!

My Holidays!!

In my holidays my cousin slept over my house for the first whole week! Getting up in the morning we were so tired that we just played games all day on the computer. We were so hungry that we went next door to my aunties house and ate there.

After a while later My mum and dad came back from work. The next week I went over my cousins house and slept over there. All we done there was play guess who and battle ship!! I hope you enjoyed reading!!!
